Avakai Pickle

Ingredients:

  • Raw sour Mangoes - 10
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Red chilly powder - 200 gms
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard powder - 1/4 cup
  • Gingely oil - 2 cup

Preparation:

  1. Cut the mangoes in cubical shape. Wipe with a cloth, the mangoes should be dry. Mix turmeric powder, red chilly powder, salt and set aside for an hour.
  2. Now add mustard powder and oil and mix well and let it for a day.
  3. Add oil if needed. If more gravy is needed, u can add mustard powder. Also see to it that salt is sufficient else, the pickle might ruin.
