Boorelu

Ingredients:

  • Bengal gram(Kadala paruppu) - 250 gm
  • Maida - 100 gm
  • Rice flour - 100 gm
  • Jaggery - 250 gm
  • Cardamom powder - 1 tbsp
  • Oil – to deep fry

Preparation:

  1. Boil Bengal gram until smooth. Smash it to thick paste.
  2. Take a syrup of jaggery and add that to the paste. Add cardamom powder.
  3. Make small balls with the paste and keep them aside.
  4. Mix both maida and rice flours, add water to make it to a batter consistency.
  5. Heat oil in a frying pan. Dip each ball in to the batter to make a thick coating.
  6. Deep fry the coated balls until they turn brown.
