Chettinad Chicken

Ingredients:

  • Chicken - 1 kg
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Chilly powder - 2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2 tsp
  • Onion - 2
  • Tomato - 1
  • Crushed Black pepper - 1 Tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil
  • Curry leaves
  • Coriander leaves

Preparation:

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan. Add onion and ginger garlic paste and saute.
  2. Add tomato and fry a little. Add turmeric powder, chilly powder, salt and chicken pieces.
  3. Mix well and cook till the chicken pieces are well coated with the masala gravy.
  4. Add water if needed and cook till the chicken turns soft and well cooked and the gravy is semi liquid in consistency.
  5. Add the crushed black pepper and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves and curry leaves.
