Chettinad Mushroom

Ingredients:

  • Mushroom - 3 cups
  • Tamarind pulp - 1Tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chilly - 2
  • Moong dal - 2 tsp
  • Pepper - 2 tsp
  • Mustard seed - 1/2 tsp
  • Curry leaves
  • Coriander leaves
  • Oil

Preparation:

  1. Roast red chilly, moong dal and pepper and grind to a fine powder.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds and curry leaves.
  3. Add the mushroom and mix well. Add salt.
  4. Once the mushroom starts to release water, add the ground powder and mix well.
  5. Add tamarind pulp and stir for a few minutes till the gravy becomes dry. Garnish with coriander leaves.
