Ingredients:
- Chick peas - 2 cups
- Onion - 1
- Tomato -1
- Ginger - 1" piece
- Green chillies -2
- Pepper - 1/4 tsp
- Lemon juice - 2tsp
- Chilly powder - 1 Tbsp
- Cardamom - 1
- Cinnamon - 1
- Cloves - 2
- Cumin powder - 1tsp
- Oil
- Salt to taste
Preparation:
- Soak chick peas over night and cook them with little salt.
- Heat oil in pan. Add cinnamon, cardamom, cloves and allow to splutter.
- Add finely chopped onion, green chillies and ginger and cook to soft.
- Add finely chopped tomato and cook till the oil separates and onion and tomato are finely smashed.
- Add the cooked chick peas, salt, chilly powder, cumin powder and let to boil till a semi solid consistency is reached.
- Add the lemon juice and cook for1-2 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and round sliced onion.
