Ingredients:
- Plaintain - 1
- Yam - a small piece
- Coconut grated - 1/2 cup
- Red chillies -2
- Pepper - 1 Tbsp
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
- Garlic pods - 2-3
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Coconut grated - 2 Tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Urad dal - 1 tsp
- Coconut oil
- Curry leaves
Preparation:
- Cut plaintain and yam into cubes and cook them separately with little salt.
- Grind coarsely coconut, red chillies, pepper, cumin seeds, garlic pods and turmeric powder.
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard. Add the ground paste and cooked vegetables and pour little water. Let to boil.
- Heat coconut oil in a pan and roast urad dal. Roast 2 Tbsp of coconut and curry leaves to golden brown and add this to the vegetable mixture and mix well.
