Ingredients:
- Chicken -1 kg
- Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Ginger Garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Onion – 5
- Chopped Tomato – 1
- Green chilly (chopped) – 2
- Red Chilly powder – 2 tsp
- Coriander powder – 2 tsp
- Cumin Powder – 1/4 tsp
- Coriander leaves
- Curry leaves
- Oil – to fry
Make a coarse powder of - Cinnamon – 1 inch stick
- Cloves – 2
- Cardamom – 2
- Black pepper – 7
Preparation:
- Marinate chicken with turmeric powder, salt, lemon juice, 1 tsp of ginger garlic paste for 1/2 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter curry leaves, fry the onions and ginger garlic paste.Add chopped tomatoes and cook until soft.
- Now add the marinated chicken pieces and fry for few minutes.
- Add red chilly powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and salt. Cook till the gravy slightly thickens.
- Now add the powdered masala items and finely chopped coriander leaves. Fry on medium flame till the gravy thickens and becomes dry.
