Lemon Rice

Ingredients:

  • Cooked raw rice - 1 cup
  • Lemon - 1
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
  • Cooked vegetables - 1/2 cup (optional)
  • Salt to taste
  • Green chilly - 2
  • Red chilly -2
  • Oil
  • Cashew
  • Curry leaves
  • Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • Urad dal - 1 tsp
  • Bengal gram - 1 tsp

Preparation:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add urad dal, bengal gram, curry leaves, cashews, green chilly and red chilly and fry little. Add salt.
  2. Now add the juice extracted from the lemon. After a boil, remove from heat and mix it well with the cooked rice.
