Naan

Ingredients:

  • Maida - 3 cups
  • Baking powder - 1tsp
  • Curd - 1/2 cup
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • Egg - 1
  • Milk - 1 cup
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste
Preparation:
  1. Sieve the flour, baking powder and salt.
  2. In a mixing bowl, mix sugar, egg, milk and water and add the sieved items to make a soft dough. Cover it with a wet muslin cloth and keep aside for 2 hours. It will get doubled.
  3. Now make equal sized balls, apply little oil and roll it into a round shape.
  4. Stretch a little from one side to give a triangular shape.
  5. Now cook it both sides in a preheated Tandoori tawa and serve with a blob of butter.
