Paneer Butter Masala

Ingredients:

  • Paneer - 200gms
  • Onion Paste - 2 Tbsp
  • Tomato Paste - 2 Tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tsp
  • Milk - 1/2 cup
  • Cashew nut - 1 Tbsp grounded
  • Dried Fenugreek Leaves - 1 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Green chilly - 1
  • Red Chilly powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Sugar - 1/2 tsp
  • Orange food color - a pinch
  • Butter - 3 Tbsp
  • Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Round cut Onion and finely chopped Capsicum - seasoning

Preparation:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and saute the onion paste. Add the chilly powder and cook for 2 minutes and add milk slowly.
  2. Now add the tomato paste and cook for few minutes. Add the grounded cashew powder.
  3. Add the cumin powder, garam masala, salt, sugar and needed water and cook till the oil separates and the gravy becomes thick.
  4. Add the dried fenugreek leaves and mix a little and set aside.
  5. Heat butter in a frying pan, add the sliced green chilly, capsicum and onion and saute for few minutes.
  6. Add these sauted vegetables, paneer pieces and orange color to the gravy and mix well.
