Pesara Attu

Ingredients :

  • Moong Dal - 1 cup
  • Raw Rice - 1 Tbsp
  • Ginger - 1" piece
  • Green Chilies - 2
  • Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  • Finely chopped onion - 2
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil

Preparation:

  1. Soak the moong dal and rice in water for 24 hours.Grind dal, green chillies, ginger, cumin seeds and salt to a batter consistency.
  2. Heat a griddle or hot plate to medium heat and grease it with little oil.
  3. Pour a spoon of pesarattu batter on it and spread it to a thin round layer like a dosa.
  4. Top the pesarattu with some of the chopped onions.
  5. Flip the pesarattu over the other side and cook until the pesarattu turns brown and cooked.
  6. Serve with coconut chutney.
