Ingredients :
- Moong Dal - 1 cup
- Raw Rice - 1 Tbsp
- Ginger - 1" piece
- Green Chilies - 2
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Finely chopped onion - 2
- Salt to taste
- Oil
Preparation:
- Soak the moong dal and rice in water for 24 hours.Grind dal, green chillies, ginger, cumin seeds and salt to a batter consistency.
- Heat a griddle or hot plate to medium heat and grease it with little oil.
- Pour a spoon of pesarattu batter on it and spread it to a thin round layer like a dosa.
- Top the pesarattu with some of the chopped onions.
- Flip the pesarattu over the other side and cook until the pesarattu turns brown and cooked.
- Serve with coconut chutney.
