Ingredients:
- Cooked raw rice - 2 cups
- Red chillies - 5
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Roasted peanuts - 1/2 cup
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
- Curry leaves
- Tamarind pulp - 4 Tbsp
- Asafetida - a pinch
- Sesame seeds - 2 Tbsp (roasted and powdered)
- Bengal gram - 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Gingely oil
Preparation:
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add curry leaves, red chillies, bengal gram and fry a little.
- Add turmeric powder, asafetida powder, roasted peanuts and fry a little.
- Add the tamarind pulp and salt.
- Add the sesame powder and leave it to boil.
- Add this mixture to the rice and mix well.
