Ingredients:
- Plaintain - 1
- Coconut - 1/2 cup
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Red chillies - 3
- Garlic pods -2
- Turmeric powder - a pinch
- Onion - 1
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Curry leaves
- Salt to taste
- Oil
Preparation:
- Cut plaintain to cubes and cook it and drain the water.
- Grind coconut, cumin seeds, red chillies, turmeric powder and garlic to a coarse paste.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and splutter mustard seeds, add curry leaves.
- Add onion and saute. Now add the cooked plaintain and sprinkle water and add salt.
- Add the ground paste and mix well and cook till the moisture evaporates.
