Ingredients:
- Moong dal - 1/4 cup
- Raw Rice - 1 cup
- Ginger - 1/2 " piece
- Crushed black pepper - 2 Tbsp
- Green chillies - 2
- Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
- Ghee - 4 Tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Cashews
Preparation:
- In a pressure pan, add moong dal and rice and add 5 cups of water. Add salt and cook with 2 tsp of ghee and 2 tsp of pepper and cumin seeds.
- In a frying pan, heat ghee and add chopped ginger, chopped green chillies and cashews.
- Add this to the rice. Add the crushed pepper and ghee and mix well. Serve with brinjal kotsu.
